The IT Forum

The OBL IT Forum returns to offer an ongoing platform for IT and cybersecurity professionals to discuss relevant topics, find solutions, and exchange ideas relating to IT and cybersecurity within their organizations. As in the past, agendas are built by attending members of the forum. The forum, facilitated by SBS CyberSecurity and Infotex, has been designed with insight from operations and technology leaders from the community banking industry to provide a mix of peer sharing and discussion with free exchange of ideas on issues that concern them most, as well as guided education and lectures from seasoned facilitators.

This forum features general sessions and open forum discussion time for members, as well as an opportunity to attend managerial and technical breakout sessions. Please note, managerial sessions will feature topics related to managing your Information Security Program from the "security" side, while technical sessions will feature topics related to architecture, infrastructure and implementation of technical networking controls.

Designed for Discussion

Participants are contacted in advance for input into the next program agenda to ensure the topics are relevant and meaningful
Multiple topics will be discussed at each session and participants are also encouraged to suggest their own agenda topics of interest
Questions are collected in advance for Open Forum Discussions to ensure pressing concerns and questions are addressed
Attendees attend general sessions, as well as select two breakout sessions during the day. Technical Track and Managerial Track
Questions and best practices are also shared live during each session
Electronic materials are available following each session

This forum also includes a seat at the 2024 OBL Security & Technology Conference, April 10-12, 2024 at the Embassy Suites Columbus Airport.

Dan Hadaway, CISA, CISM, CRISCFounder of Infotex

Prior to founding Infotex in 2000 to serve community banks, Dan's first experience in IT governance came in 1986, when he wrote his first Acceptable Use Policy, and conducted his first Information Technology risk assessment in 1989. Dan facilitates and speaks regularly at events, conferences, workshops and seminars, including the OBL Security & Technology Conference and the OBL IT Forum. Published in Bank Notes, the Ohio Record, Hoosier Banker Magazine, and the ABA's Compliance Magazine, Dan also helped to write the original CRISC manual for ISACA. .

Jon WaldmanCo-founder and execute vice president of Information Security Consulting for SBS CyberSecurity

Jon is also the SBS' Chief People Officer and the President of the SBS Institute. Over the past 17 years, Jon has helped hundreds of organizations make more informed business decisions by identifying and understanding cybersecurity risk. Jon maintains his CISA, CRISC, and CDPSE certifications and holds a BS in CIS and a MS in Information Assurance from Dakota State University, a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education designated by the NSA. He is also a blog author, an instructor for SBS Institute courses, and frequently speaks on cybersecurity topics at events and webinars across the country.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds for the program will be granted for cancellations received in writing to the OBL Professional Development Team seven days prior to each session. Cancellations will be subject to a $75 processing fee. No Refunds will be granted for cancellations received within seven days of the program. Substitutions are always welcome.
